From the Pool Deck to Client Success

Morgan swam Division I at the University of Hawai'i and served as team captain her senior year. After earning her degree in Kinesiology and Rehabilitation Sciences, she went home to Canada to coach swimming full time and specialize in strength and conditioning for swimmers.

She later started her own coaching company, focused on swimming technique, biomechanics, and conditioning for triathletes and open water swimmers. Her clients ranged from adults who had once been afraid of the water to Olympic-level athletes looking for an edge. Most of them already knew how to swim. They came to her to make it work better.

"When you look at the top performers in swimming and in business, it's the people who slow down the least. It's not always about adding more power. It's about reducing the drag."

Morgan Mark, teaching a CEO Finance Academy Scale Call

Running her own business showed Morgan how much happens behind the scenes. She joined CEO Finance Academy in 2023 in a sales role, and within a few months the team asked her to lead client success. She wanted to help owners approach their businesses and their personal lives with confidence and clarity, and the role let her do exactly that.

Why Client Success Matters Here

As CEO Finance Academy grew from one coach to a full team, Morgan became the link between clients and the people serving them. The feedback she gathered helped shape how the firm staffs its coaching and CFO work, and sharpened its sense of who it's the right fit for. Clients get a better experience, and the team gets the information it needs to keep improving.

How Morgan Thinks About Client Experience

Experience, not just service

Customer service reacts when something goes wrong. Customer experience plans the whole journey ahead of time, so clients rarely have to ask for help in the first place and feel supported when they do.

Set expectations before clients set their own

If you don't tell people what working with you will be like, they'll invent their own version. Most frustration comes from that gap, so Morgan spells out who does what, when, and what comes next.

Tell them, do it, then tell them again

Every onboarding starts with what's about to happen, walks through it step by step, and ends with a recap and a follow-up email. Repeating yourself feels like too much to the expert. To the person learning, it feels like clarity.

Acknowledge, compliment, ask

Morgan starts every new client relationship by asking how they got here, then listening for what they've already overcome. People who feel heard open up, and talking it through helps them organize their own thinking.

The same complaint twice is a system problem

When the same question keeps coming up, the fix belongs earlier in the process, not with the person answering it. Morgan passes those patterns back to the team so they get solved at the source.

What Morgan Does at CEO Finance Academy

Onboarding

Every new client meets Morgan first. She walks them through the program, the resources, scheduling, and how to ask for help.

Coach and CFO Support

She supports the profit coaches and fractional CFOs so they can spend their time on clients' numbers, not logistics.

Client Feedback

She checks in with clients, listens for what is and isn't working, and brings it back to the team.

The Details

Calendars, scheduling, and technical hiccups. Organizing calendars is honestly one of her favorite parts of the job.

How CEO Finance Academy Can Help

Morgan is often the first person you'll work with after deciding to join. From there, owners work with one of our fractional CFOs or join one of our coaching programs.

Outside of Work

Morgan lives in Calgary. She loves strength training, snowboarding near Banff, and spending time outdoors in the mountains. She's currently learning to ski and training for her first marathon. For her, being active is also a way to connect with people: movement makes room for good conversations, fresh perspectives, and learning what someone really wants out of life.
