RiQueshya (Queshya) Wall

Queshya keeps the books behind our fractional CFO work clean, current, and correct. She handles bookkeeping for clients who work with us long term, and she's at her best taking a set of messy books and getting every account to reconcile.

From the Sales Floor to the Books

Queshya didn't start out in accounting. She spent five years as an area sales manager at Dillard's, running departments and leading teams, and then worked as an Aflac insurance agent from home so she could be there for her daughter. People who knew her assumed she would stay in sales for good.

In 2019 she joined a chiropractic clinic, where she became office manager and stayed for four years. The books there were a mess, left behind by people who had never been trained to keep them. So she taught herself, working through QuickBooks one video and one account at a time, until everything matched. Somewhere in that cleanup she realized she loved it.

"When a reconciliation is perfect, it's just like, oh, what a good month that was."

She went on to keep the books as an executive assistant and staff accountant for a business owner with two LLCs, a nonprofit, and personal accounts, all of which she brought into order. Then she spent more than a year as an audit consultant, reviewing companies' books and payroll records. Along the way she went back to school, earning an associate degree from Midland College and then a BBA in Accountancy from the University of Texas Permian Basin in December 2025. She joined CEO Finance Academy in March 2026, bringing more than six years of hands-on experience with financial records, reconciliations, and payroll, to do the work she enjoys most: getting books right and keeping them that way.

Why Bookkeeping Matters to a CFO

A forecast or a margin analysis is only as good as the numbers underneath it. Most of the owners who come to us arrive with books that need cleanup first. Having a bookkeeper on the same team as their CFO means the numbers get fixed once, closed every month, and reviewed by someone who knows exactly how they'll be used.

How Queshya Thinks About Bookkeeping

Everything has to match

Bank, credit cards, loans, and the balance sheet should all tie out every month. If one number doesn't agree with another, something is wrong, and it's worth finding before anyone makes a decision on it.

Cleanup is the best part

Most bookkeepers dread inheriting messy books. Queshya enjoys it. Untangling years of miscoded transactions and getting a business back to a clean starting point is her favorite kind of work.

Routine beats heroics

Good books come from doing the same things every month, on time: reconciling, categorizing, and closing. A steady monthly rhythm prevents the year-end scramble.

Books exist to support decisions

Her work feeds directly into the reports and forecasts our CFOs build with owners. Clean books mean those conversations start from real numbers instead of guesses.
